Project Five's Story!

Carmen Leibel, former CTV anchor, now helping people of all ages with their public speaking skills.

Hi! My name is Carmen Leibel, I spent 15+ years in broadcast journalism with CTV as an anchor and reporter and am so excited to tell you about my new journey and business Project Five, Communicate with Confidence!

Using the public speaking tips and tricks I've learned over the years, I've created Project Five with five simple steps to help people of all ages feel more comfortable and confident speaking in front of others.

As a mom, I've noticed how much kids socialize and communicate online. And let’s face it social media isn't going away. But to become more confident people who can present, share ideas and opinions, eventually nail that job interview and become a successful employee or employer, public speaking is an absolutely crucial skill to have.

I've spent my career as a journalist, have emceed/hosted countless events, and am passionate about helping youth feel empowered to use their voices.

Curriculum-based in-school residency programs, with engaging public speaking games and activities, are available for students in grades 4-9. Junior high, high school, and post-secondary workshops are an option too.

Project Five also offers sessions for adults, check out the corporate tab!
